Biography

I turn to John Wooden for a definition of success that I use for myself and with my players. Success is knowing that you did the very best to become the best that you can become. Football gives young men one of the greatest opportunities to pursue success in a way that can positively shape the rest of their lives. Quality performance on the football field requires hard work in the weight room, conditioning in the offseason, and studying with humility how to play a specific role based on the needs of a team larger than an individual. I learned these lessons through my amazing football and baseball coaches at Johns Hopkins University and El Segundo High School, and I hope to pass these lessons on to all of my players.

My life mission is echoed in Ephesians 3:8-9, to preach the unsearchable riches of Christ and to bring the light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery in God. In other words, to help every teen find their unique God given gifts to build a purposeful life.
