At Pacifica, we want to make a quality, college-prep education accessible to all families. Pacifica is committed to being a school from all neighborhoods, and provides financial assistance to support this mission.
Discover the various ways you can fund your child’s education at Pacifica. They include scholarships, financial aid, loans, and payment plans.
Financial Aid
The Pacifica Business Office strives to assist families for whom the cost of independent school tuition is the only barrier to attendance. We consider multiple factors in determining aid, including family financial need, mission fit, and academic performance.
Applying for financial assistance is a 30-minute process with the user-friendly Clarity financial aid platform. All recipients must complete a financial aid application for each school year. To determine financial aid award amounts, Clarity considers family assets, income, liabilities, and debts.
Current students and families who submit financial aid applications by the deadline receive priority. Applications received after the deadline are considered only if funds remain. Each year, financial aid funds are fully utilized. Families are encouraged to complete the full application with necessary documentation early to be in the best position to receive aid.
The financial aid process is separate from admissions and does not impact an applicant’s admissions status.
Next Steps
1. Start Your Clarity Application
2. Complete your application by the application deadline
- Supply your personal information
- Select “Pacifica Christian High - Santa Monica”
- E-sign form 4506c to authorize Clarity to securely retrieve your tax transcripts from the IRS.
3. Submit along with the $60 application fee*
*Additional documents may be required based on your submission. You will be notified by Clarity to upload them to your application.
Payment Plans
Many of our families find that tuition installment plans help manage tuition expenses. Instead of paying a single lump sum, you can make payments semi-annually or monthly.
Semi-annual payment plans require two tuition payments due in April and December. There is an additional $400 fee for this option.
Monthly payment plans consist of 11 tuition payments due April through February. There is an additional $750 fee for this option.
Scholarships
The Christian Ministry Scholarship is given to students whose parent or guardian is involved in pastoral work or ministry. Families must qualify by describing involvement in Christian ministry on their application and submit their financial aid application through Clarity by the deadline in order to receive this scholarship. Awards are based on need and merit. These scholarships are available to incoming and current students with a minimum 3.5 GPA for each year applied.
Additional Options
Third-party loans are provided by outside lenders and have individual requirements and applications. Learn more about long-term loans for tuition payments or education loans with flexible repayment options.
Formerly limited to higher education institutions, 529 savings plans have extended their availability to private K-12 schools. The maximum withdrawal per year to fund tuition is $10,000. If you have more questions about these plans, please meet with a tax advisor to discuss your options.
