Meet Your New Favorite People at Pacifica
The Pacifica Parent Association (PPA) connects parents to the lifeblood of Pacifica. Through social networking, fundraising events, or sharing a boost of community cheer at the many student events throughout the year, the PPA is perhaps more fun than parents want their kids to know!
“I am so thankful to be in my fifth year as a Pacifica parent! Serving on the Parent Association has been a rewarding way to express our love and hope for the many students whose lives are shaped here.” - Alumnus and Junior Class Parent
Parent Connection & Service Opportunities
As a new Pacifica parent, you should know that high school is the best time to lean into your student’s growth from childhood to young adult. The PPA provides fantastic opportunities for parents to get involved.
Grade-Level Dinners
Each fall parents share a meal on the Pacifica campus and reconnect with friends, new and old. Hosted by the PPA and the Advancement Office, grade-level dinners are friend-raising events that are free for all parents. See the community calendar for details.
Homecoming and Spirit Week
The PPA is the driving force behind the largest Pacifica celebration of the year. The Homecoming Festival—a family-centered celebration preceding the annual Homecoming basketball game—brings food and fun to the big day.
Spring Gala
Part of our mission to be a school for all neighborhoods means raising meaningful funds for financial aid. The Spring Gala celebrates all that is best at Pacifica in a fun, festive fundraising environment. This annual event has raised over $2 million over the past decade for student aid and program development.
Athletics Booster Club
Tailgating is alive and well in Santa Monica! The Seawolf Booster Club not only celebrates all sports, from basketball to cross-country, but they also organize the annual Seawolf Veterans Luncheon—a treasured part of our Homecoming week festivities.
PACARTS Booster Club
The arts at Pacifica rely upon our close connections to parents in the arts and entertainment industry. From building our inspiring theatrical sets to soliciting guest speakers for the SCREEN Student Film Festival, you don’t have to be an artist to make a huge difference in the PACARTS creative community.
Staff Appreciation
Throughout the year, the PPA does an incredible job of making all of the teachers feel valued and appreciated with monthly staff breakfasts. At the end of each semester, parents help create a beautiful luncheon made up of all of our teachers’ favorite foods.
