Biography
Education B.A. Texas Christian University About As a Pacifica alumni, I know firsthand how incredible and rare an educational environment like Pacifica is, and I’m so grateful to have experienced and benefited from its focus on thinking and living well—learning how to think rather than being told what to think. It goes hand in hand with one of my favorite verses, Romans 12:2: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.” Teaching should result in transformation, and through asking important questions of meaning & morality in New Testament and seeing how different answers to these questions have shaped history and resulted in our modern world, I aim for students to leave my academic classes with a more developed, nuanced worldview and understanding of history. Through my dance program, I help students develop their skills and grow in confidence, and I’m very proud of the work I’ve done so far choreographing our productions of Little Shop of Horrors, Into the Woods, Anastasia, and the annual Spring Dance Concert.
