I am a lifelong student of the Great Conversation that investigates questions about what it means to be human, what truth is, and how we ought to live. Whether plumbing the profundity of Plato and Aristotle, ascending to the heights of intellect with Augustine and Aquinas, or delving into the mysteries of the psyche, I especially enjoy helping students see that education is not merely about acquiring information, but about becoming thoughtful, wise, and good people.

 

Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading omnivorously, writing poetry, making friends with birds, practicing archery, exploring nature, checking out great architecture, and pursuing whatever new subject has captured my curiosity.

 

I consider it a privilege to accompany students as they learn to think deeply, wonder freely, and cultivate lives marked by truth, beauty, and goodness.
