Teaching is the best. I get to be around math all the time (which is fun!), be challenged by student's questions, and share the knowledge I have alongside Who I got it from. I am deeply motivated to inspire, encourage, instill responsibility, and push students toward excellence. Jesus was and is the greatest teacher of all time, so this role gives me the privilege and honor to see Him in a totally different light. My hope and prayer for my students is that they can walk away from my class seeing themselves, math, and the Lord in a new light too. When I'm not at school, I love to spend hours reading and journaling at coffee shops (always taking recs for a good matcha), going to a pilates class, prayer walks, thrifting, and any excuse to hang out with my fantastic husband. Picking a favorite Bible verse is difficult, but I have to go with Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."
