Pacifica is once again honored to host members of the Seawolf Helicopter Squadron as part of our Homecoming Week on January 5th, at its 10th annual luncheon. This year's event, taking place from 11:20 AM to 1:30 PM at Pacifica, is hosted by the Athletics Booster Club.

This year's luncheon will feature a chance to meet and honor our namesake veterans and a viewing of excerpts of a feature-length documentary film chronicling the HA(L)-3 units' history and legacy, live in the Pacifica gymnasium.

Highlighting this luncheon is a chance to connect with the original Seawolves. In 1966, specialized helicopter squadrons were established to support patrol boats, Special Seal Team operations, and army units in South Vietnam. The Seawolves were officially established on April 1, 1967 during the Vietnam War as the only active duty Navy helicopter gunship squadron in the history of NAVY aviation. From 1966 to 1972, 44 members of the Seawolves gave their lives in support of military operations. The Seawolves earned over 16,000 air medals, ranging from 6 Presidential Unit Citations to 156 Purple Hearts.

Be part of a growing tradition as we learn about the history these veterans lived through, and celebrate our time together for the Homecoming weekend.

Lunch will follow the presentation about the Seawolves' experiences before, during, and after their tours in Vietnam. Purchase a $10 lunch ticket, which includes an Italian lunch, catered by La Puglia. Students, staff, alumni families, and current Pacifica families are all welcome!
