The students at Pacifica have adopted the motto “work hard, play hard, and take risks.” Having fun together, engaging in extra-curricular activities, and spending free time getting to know others are complementary and essential components to a Pacifica education. The faculty and administration come alongside families reinforcing values encouraged at home continuing the conversation about life and modeling lives marked by joy.
Whether it be a teacher leading a student study group for finals at a local coffee shop or a pick-up basketball game after school, student teacher relationships are a key to campus life. From Sweet 16 parties, the All School Retreat, Homecoming, Prom, spirit days, overnight travel to sporting events, traveling in Europe, the family barbecue at the annual Powder-Puff Football Game, the senior trip, to root bear floats in the courtyard, students make friendships and memories that last a lifetime. Students and teachers “play hard,” make friends, and connect. A student’s participation in campus events enhances the classroom experience. Pacifica has a vibrant campus life. Pacifica students and faculty are involved.
Pacifica is committed to creating an environment that fosters friendship and unity. Our relational faculty and administration come alongside the student body to model abundant living and healthy relationships. Students are encouraged in their friendships through the all school retreat, spirit days, boys’ and girls’ nights, clubs, school dances, service trips, college tours, film festivals, athletics, theater performances, and a host of other activities. The student Prefect Board and class representatives lead the student body in planning activities that help create meaningful relationships that will last well beyond graduation.
