We are teaching students to think and live well, improving students' lives one relationship at a time.

On behalf of the Office of Admissions, I want to thank you for your interest in Pacifica Christian High School.

Admission to Pacifica opens the door to a place where young men and women are challenged by a rigorous, college-preparatory, liberal arts education that integrates faith and learning. Our students engage with teachers who are knowledgeable and passionate about their fields of study, compassionate for and excited about the students they teach, substantial in Christian faith, and well trained in the art of teaching.
A Pacifica education is not merely a means to an end, but also an end in itself. Education is a life-long pursuit. Our goal is to produce life-long learners who seek truth for its own sake, whether on the basketball court, under the glow of stage lights, or in the classroom.
Selecting the best possible school is an important process, and the Office of Admissions is committed to making every family’s experience as personal, informative and stress-free as possible. It is our goal to provide you with everything you need to determine whether Pacifica is the right school for your family. Our comprehensive admissions process allows us to get to know your student and ensure that he or she can feel successful and happy at Pacifica.
Please look through our website to learn more about the outstanding academic and extracurricular opportunities, the devoted faculty and the welcoming community that make Pacifica an exceptional learning environment. To get a full sense of everything that Pacifica has to offer, we also invite you to visit our school by attending a Visit Pacifica Day, our fall Open Houses or scheduling a shadow day.
Do not hesitate to contact our office with any questions at admissions@pacificachristian.org or 310.828.7015 ex. 105
We look forward to meeting you.
Best regards,

Admissions FAQs

List of 6 frequently asked questions.

  • Q. When should I apply?

Applicants apply the year before the expected grade of entry. For instance, students wanting to attend Pacifica for the 2023-2024 school year can begin the application process in September of 2022.

We encourage families to begin submitting their applications as soon as possible so we can spend more time getting to know our applicants and connecting them with members of our community.
  • Q. What does Pacifica look for in an applicant?

Pacifica looks for driven, hardworking, and intellectually curious students who want to pursue their passions in the classroom and beyond.

Admission is based on multiple criteria, including:
    • A balanced academic record, indicating ability to succeed in a challenging curriculum
    • Three academic recommendations, indicating a strong educational background, academic potential, motivation to work hard, and age-appropriate social and emotional development and behavior
    • A personal interview, indicating evident enthusiasm for learning and support of the mission of Pacifica.

  • Q. What is the ISEE? How and when do I register for it?

The ISEE is the Independent School Entrance Exam and is an optional part of the process. You may register for the ISEE at any time. Be sure to register at least three weeks in advance of the test date. The ISEE is administered at a variety of locations.
To register for the ISEE exam, visit www.iseetest.org. The Pacifica code to use when registering is 054328. That code will be placed in the “report to schools” section when signing up. You may also register by calling 800.446.0320.
  • Q. How many spaces are available at Pacifica?

9th grade: approximately 60 spaces available
    10th – 12th grade: based on attrition
  • Q. Does Pacifica accept transfer students?

Yes, Pacifica accepts transfer students. Over the years, many students have come to Pacifica from a variety of schools in the Los Angeles area, continental United States and internationally. The process for transfer students is the same as for those applying for 9th grade. Admission into grades outside of 9th grade is based on space availability. Notification occurs on a rolling basis as spaces become available.
  • Q. In what neighborhoods do Pacifica students live?

Pacifica students come from all over the city and suburbs. We have families as far south as the South Bay, far north as Malibu, and all the way from Downtown LA. Pacifica is located only a few blocks from the Exposition Line that reaches from downtown, through Culver City, and into Santa Monica. Many students and faculty take the trains to school each day, making transportation even easier.
