Pacifica Parent Association

 The Purpose


The purpose of the Parents Association is to organize the parents (and guardians) of the students at Pacifica Christian High School  to encourage and promote participation and involvement in Pacifica and the surrounding community,  supplement and enrich the students’ experiences at Pacifica; facilitate communication among the parents and Pacifica; and otherwise advance the goals of Pacifica.  The Parents Association does not participate in policymaking functions of Pacifica, but may be asked by Pacifica for input on issues from time to time.  The Parents Association functions at the pleasure of the Board of Directors of Pacifica.  All Pacifica parents are considered members of the parent association.  

The Executive Board


The Executive Board coordinates and supports the activities of the Parents Association.  The Executive Board selects the chairs of any committees formed, prepares and coordinates compliance with budgets, and schedules events.  In each of these activities, the Executive Board shall coordinate with Pacifica to ensure that its purposes are being fulfilled.  The Executive Board meets monthly.

General Meetings


There will be four all parent meetings each year.  September 8, November 15, February 2 & May 4

i.Connect Fair – September 8 during back to school night. Join us in the gym to learn more about parent association committees, ways to volunteer and to connect with other parents.

Katherine and Jay Wolf November 15 – join the PPA as we hear the story of Katherine and Jay Wolf – Hope Heals 

Diversity February 2 – The PPA and Pacifica’s committee on diversity will host an evening speaker  to further our ongoing conversation about living well in a diverse community.  

Spotlight Dinner/State of the School May 4 – Join the PPA for dinner as we spotlight different aspects of a Pacifica education and hear the state of the school from the Head of School.

Parent Association Committees


A great majority of the work of the Parents Association will be done through committees. The Executive Board shall appoint committee chairs and will oversee the work of committees.
